Hello!
Here at the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, a new challenge has begun!
That challenge is to convert a donated '98 Ford Explorer into a more gas efficient vehicle. There are two ideas thus far for this vehicle, which would be to either convert it into a straight bio-diesel truck or into a hybrid. The hybrid would have a bio-diesel generator and lead-acid batteries. Either way would use the bio-diesel supplied by the local dining hall on campus. Currently on the minds of the members is to find possible sponsors for the project as well as to further each one's knowledge on the subject of car engines, batteries, etc.
